Objective:

Create a basic web site. Refer to your class notes and go to http://www.monkeyquest.com/help_topics/web_design to find all of the design resources that you may need.

Keep it clean and simple.

Your site should:

Have a purpose!
Be interesting to people other than yourself.
Be aesthetically pleasing, well thought-out and easy to navigate.
Contain all original or non-copyrighted content. If you wish to use someone else's material, you must have their consent and it is also good etiquette to link to your source.

Your site should contain the following elements:

At least four inter-linked pages. A visitor should be able to get around your site without ever having to click the "Back" or "Forward" button.
At least three absolute links to pages outside your site.
The very first page should be a splash page.
At least one image per page (four or more images total).
Background patterns on each page and custom BGCOLOR, TEXT, LINK, VLINK & ALINK colors.

Suggested Topics:

A subject you are studying in one of your courses. The Internet is an ideal way to share information that may aid others in their research.
A political or environmental issue that you feel strongly about.
Personal material, such as poetry or artwork, that you wish to share with the rest of the world.
